Select a Language School in Japan Prepare & Plan

Decide on your arrival date and choose a school the intake (before 6 six months) and get ready for the required documents

Submit the requried Documents to the Japanese Language School

Get prepared the Passport, Educational certificates, Birth Certificate, Passport Size Photos, Bank documents of sponsor & Application form.
The Japanese school then applies for your Certificate of Eligibility (COE) in Japan.

Get the Certificate of Eligibility (COE)

The COE is one of the most important documents. It is issued by Japanese immigration and confirms: your admission, financial support, and study purpose. Usually the school in Japan handles this process.

Apply for Student Visa

After receiving the COE, you apply for a student visa through the Japanese Embassy. Typical documents: Passport, Visa application, Photos, COE, Admission Letter, Financial proof (Balance confirmation letter)

Financial Requirements

Japan usually requires proof that tuition and living expenses can be covered. Common financial documents: Bank balance certificate, Income proof of sponsor, Employment letters, Tax or salary documents.

Travel to Japan

After visa approval, book flight, arrange accommodation, prepare airport documents. When entering Japan, students usually receive a Residence Card at major airports.

After Arrival in Japan

You must: register your address at city office, get health insurance, receive “My Number” registration, open a bank account if needed.
